Tech Mahindra has used artificial intelligence and an open-source platform to advance the job search experience in the organisation
Tech Mahindra has introduced Talex, its new artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled talent exchange marketplace. Powered by an open-source platform called Acumos, Talex will address upskilling, reskilling and talent management related issues within Tech Mahindra.
AI-powered talent platform
The technology solutions provider has used artificial intelligence technology to bring together various profiles of candidates and suitable vacancies in the organisation to source out the right candidate. It will collect the candidates’ previous assignments, educational background, skills, manager ratings, self-rating and awards and accolades.
Additionally, Talex will use pre-assigned credits to consider candidate bids for the job roles. HR personnel will also be able to view applicant profiles, profile match percentages and bid values to find out the perfect fit for the role.
Harshvendra Soin, Chief People Officer, Tech Mahindra describes Talex as an offering that would aid in democratising the talent management domain and retaining promising talent. “This cutting-edge talent exchange marketplace platform will be a true game-changer in making the entire process effortless by adding the element of gamification. It is in line with Tech Mahindra’s ethos of building a workplace of the future by harnessing the power of internal talent,” the CPO was quoted by ET.
Focus is on technologies
The talent exchange platform has been developed jointly by Tech Mahindra, Linux Foundation and AT&T Corporation with the help of young disruptors. The company is also working on core technology areas such as AI, Blockchain, Cybersecurity and AI-infused IoT solutions and 5G through TechMNxt, Tech Mahindra’s initiative that aims to offer a workplace for the future. The aim is to combine advanced technologies and processes in delivering a better employee experience.
