Gemalto has launched an integrated Internet of Things (IoT) module that offers a variety of connectivity options for manufacturers and integrators. This greatly simplifies logistics and distribution and lowers the cost of global IoT deployments.
The ‘all-in-one’ IoT module
The new Gemalto Cinterion PLS62-W IoT Module delivers highly efficient LTE Cat. It is Gemalto’s first IoT module to provide global connectivity on 12 LTE bands plus, 3G and 2G cellular coverage all from a single device.
Embedded Java
Gemalto has also included a Java embedded system in the module designed to make the application building easier. The module also contains a power management system and optimized sleep mode to preserve power, an essential element for industrial usage.
