As an effort to bring modern technology and big data to the oil and gas industry, Microsoft and oil & gas giant Halliburton are working together to combine Halliburton’s global expertise in exploration and production (E&P) science with Microsoft’s expertise in machine learning, augmented reality (AR), Industrial Internet of Things, and Azure’s infrastructure and built-in computing capabilities. Areas of collaboration include: applying deep learning to reservoir characterization, modeling /simulation, visualization for mixed reality, interactive applications and digitalization of E&P assets. New Platform Geared To Make Enterprise-Ready IoT Solutions

IT services firm Incedo has launched a new portfolio of services IoT NXT, to enable enterprise users leverage the power of IoT in making real time decisions and creating efficiencies. IoT NXT can be used to develop solutions across renewable energy, industrial and transportation industries.  The solutions include smart energy management to enable battery and automobile OEMs to track and monitor the health of batteries and make optimum use of energy, smart fleet management solutions for real time tracking of geo-fenced IoT-enabled transport fleet to improve driver productivity and smart oil field management to continuously monitor gas and send alerts using both mobile and fixed gas detectors.

As part of the launch, Incedo has partnered with IBM to leverage the cognitive capabilities of its Watson IoT platform in developing and deploying enterprise-ready IoT solutions. Industry 4.0 Plug & Play Solution Accelerates IoT Innovation
