IoT with Particle Photon Development Board

The Photon featured in this  DIY is  a tiny Wi-Fi development kit for creating connected projects and products for Internet of Things. Particle photon has best of both the worlds, a Wi-Fi Module and a processor unlike few other boards where ethernet or Esp8266  has to be soldered or connected to it some how. All the more, the development board comes with a readily deployable software tool kit and aids faster prototype development.

An embedded engineer, web developer, Arduino enthusiast or IoT entrepreneur can make best use of this development platform. The platform lets the developer write his own firmware in web or local IDE, deploy it over the air to build web and mobile apps with ParticleJS and Mobile SDK. To make things more brighter, it could be connected to available cloud infrastructure.

The board itself uses a Broadcom wi-fi chip (one that can be found in Nest Protect, LIFX, and Amazon Dash) alongside a powerful STM32 ARM Cortex M3 microcontroller. It is almost like the Spark Core.
