The IoT technology used analyses current operating data and suggests the best water quality parameters, which ultimately result in water conservation by increasing the cycle of concentration.
At its power facilities in Jharsuguda, Vedanta Aluminium has implemented Internet of Things (IoT)-based technologies for cooling water analysis and overall water consumption reduction.
“These power plants make use of a re-circulating cooling system using water, and a cluster of natural draft cooling towers,” India’s largest producer of aluminium, said in a statement.
