On Friday, Reliance Jio announced that its 5G network is now operational throughout all 33 districts of Gujarat. Gujarat is now the first state to have all of its districts receive 5G service as a result of the launch.
The telecom provider, which is owned by Reliance Industries, has begun testing its 5G services in Delhi-NCR, Varanasi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Nathdwara, and Chennai. The business is providing cost-free, unlimited 5G data at above 1 GB per second speeds.
Additionally, the telecom provider will begin in Gujarat a number of 5G-powered initiatives in the fields of agriculture, education, healthcare, industry 4.0, and the Internet of Things before expanding them throughout the entire nation.
Reliance Foundation and Jio will work together to digitise 100 schools in the state to get things going. This will include enabling 5G connection, enhanced content platforms, school management platforms, and platforms for teacher and student communication.
