Fibocom, one of the leading global providers of IoT wireless solutions and wireless communication modules has announced that its Cat1 bis module, the L610-EU, has been certified by Deutsche Telekom AG, Vodafone and Telefónica. Receiving these certificates indicates that Fibocom’s L610-EU module can provide wireless connection services under the LTE network of these three carriers, which further expands the product’s application coverage over the global market.

The Fibocom LTE Cat 1 bis module L610 supports LTE, GSM dual-mode communication, ensuring 2G fallback for coverage in areas where LTE is not rolled out. The single-antenna design under bis significantly helps to reduce cost and complexity. Featured with VoLTE (Voice over LTE), camera, LCD, keypad and other functions, the Fibocom L610 module also supports Open CPU as well as built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Scan.

Adopting LCC+LGA form factor, Fibocom’s L610 module is pin-to-pin compatible with Fibocom’s NL668 and L716 module families, allowing customers to immigrate easily between different technologies with low cost and zero hardware changing. The Fibocom LTE Cat 1 bis module L610 provides a rich set of interfaces such as USB / UART / SPI / I2C / SDIO to meet various application demands of the IoT industry, empowering a wide range of IoT applications such as smart payment, industrial IoT, asset tracking, sharing economy, telematics and so on.
