- Latin America has seen a rise in IoT adoption
Vodafone Business and América Móvil have entered into an IoT partnership agreement that will let their customers deploy international connected devices solutions in an efficient manner. The collaboration between the two companies will make Vodafone business customers connect IoT devices across Latin America and América Móvil IoT clients have access to Vodafone’s global network.
Vinod Kumar, CEO, Vodafone Business, said that América Móvil´s coverage and expertise across Latin America will help Vodafone support its customers globally and specially to Latin America where the company has seen rise in IoT adoption.
34 per cent of businesses are presently using IoT
Vodafone’s annual IoT Barometer of this year says that sixty per cent of the global businesses believe the IoT has disrupted their industry. Over a third (34 per cent) of businesses are presently using IoT. The report also states that 87 per cent of businesses in the advanced grading received the highest return from their IoT investment
