Mumbai, the financial capital of India, is all set to host the first ever edition of Trescon’s World AI Show in the country.

The show, scheduled to be held from November 22 – 23 at The Lalit Plaza, is being officially endorsed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, Government of Maharashtra and NITI Aayog.

A chance to raise funding for startup and associated projects

The Startup World Cup, to be organised as part of the show, will provide participants a chance to raise up to US$ 1 Million in capital funding for their startup and associated projects. For that, they will be pitching their ideas in front of global investors, including VCs and key government authorities.

Speaking about the event, Trescon CEO Mohammed Saleem said, “We are really excited to take our global WAIS series to Mumbai this November. It’s about time that India becomes self-compliant, keeping up with the race for technical parity.”

He added that the show will provide a platform to government functionaries and key industry experts to explore new possibilities in the realm of AI and Machine Learning.

Notable personalities from the AI industry, including Kaustubh Dhavse, Joint Secretary and Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra; Dinis Guarda, Author, CEO and Founder, Ztudium – Blocksdna – Intelligenthq; and Arnab Kumar, Manager Frontier Technologies, NITI Aayog, Government of India, will grace the show with their presence.

Trescon is bringing the World AI Show series in India after a successful stint in Amsterdam. After Mumbai, the show will be conducted in Mauritius in the month of November, thereby concluding the series for the year 2018.
