Infosys provides implementation services for Siemens OS as a part of their new partnership
The new partnership between Infosys and Siemens PLM Software can lead to an expansion of applications and services for the open cloud-based IoT operating system called MindSphere. The operating system primarily connects industrial machinery and equipment to the digital world.
Implementation support for IoT applications
As a part of the partnership, Infosys plans to offer end-to-end implementation services for the operating software along with post-implementation support to leverage its repository of industry 4.0 accelerators and platform tools.
This partnership can allow the customers to leverage the power of data generated by their device and hence, improve competitiveness. The initial focus will probably be on customers in the manufacturing, energy, utilities, healthcare, pharmaceutical, transportation and logistics industries.
Data analytics can also provide capabilities like predictive maintenance and end-to-end factory visibility. With this, the partnership aims at converging the physical and digital worlds. It also plans to address the need to advance the digital journey towards IoT services.
