The internet of things (IoT) SIM and eSIM solution portfolio of Soracom now includes an industrial standard SIM card.
Soracom now provides normal and industrial-grade eSIMs and SIM cards, as well as iSIM capability, as part of its product lineup. The Soracom Industrial SIM card is made for machine to machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) apps where harsh environments call for a card-type SIM rather than an eSIM.
The Industrial SIM provides a special coating and unique chip properties to limit erosion and endure extreme temperatures, humidity, and vibration. It supports Mini, Micro, or Nano form factors. The Industrial SIM also offers pay-per-use mobile data with coverage for 2G, 3G, 4G, LTE, and Cat-M1 and is completely compatible with current GSMA M2M eUICC specifications.
Additionally, users have access to the cloud-native platform services intended to speed up large-scale IoT deployment as well as the connectivity management platform and API from Soracom.
