Tech Mahindra will be the system integration partner to roll out the smart city solutions globally.
Digital services firm Tech Mahindra has entered into a partnership with Qualcomm Technologies, a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated, to offer smart city solutions globally.
Manish Vyas, President Communications Business, Tech Mahindra, shared that the partnership is part of Qualcomm Technologies’ Smart City Accelerator Program to ensure “the development and deployment of cutting-edge smart cities solutions globally.”
Launched in April, the Smart City Accelerator Program is aimed at connecting cities, government agencies and enterprises with service providers offering Qualcomm Technologies-based smart city solutions.
Its members include hardware and software providers, cloud solution providers, system integrators, design and manufacturing companies, as well as companies offering end-to-end solutions for smart cities. Tech Mahindra will be the system integration partner to roll out the smart city solutions.
The program provides a central hub for smart cities solutions across regions and verticals, said Sanjeet Pandit, senior director of business development and head of smart cities, Qualcomm Technologies, while announcing the new partnership.
Tech Mahindra’s business applications cover various smart city solutions, like smart parking, smart energy management, smart street lighting and smart automated meter reading.
