The PSA certification allows devices makers to attain the security needed for use cases by way of three levels of security assurance
Fabless semiconductor company Nordic Semiconductor announced that its recently launched nRF9160 System-in-Package (SiP) LTE-M/NB-IoT cellular IoT module becomes one of the first products to get PSA Certified Level 1 under a new Internet of Things (IoT) security initiative led by ARM.
The PSA certification gives a comprehensive and simple approach to the security testing. It consists of two elements including a multi-level, security robustness scheme such as levels 1, 2 and 3, and a developer focused application programming interface (API) test suite.
The certification allows devices makers to attain the security needed for use cases by way of three levels of security assurance. Each of the levels need increasingly severe evaluation of hardware and software, which are assigned by assessing the use case threat vectors.
Important independent verification
