  • Cisco would incorporate ThousandEyes capabilities across Cisco’s core Enterprise Networking and Cloud, and AppDynamics portfolios
  • Common grouping and sharing datasets for application and network health would also help remove silos, giving IT teams real-time visibility into application performance degradation issues

It has been reported that Cisco has completed the acquisition of ThousandEyes. This is an internet and cloud intelligence platform which expands visibility and insights into the digital delivery of applications and services over the internet and cloud.

Thus ThousandEyes would enable organisations to visualise any network as if it was their own, quickly surface actionable insights, and collaborate and solve problems with service providers.

Cisco’s strength in network and application performance along with visibility into the internet enabled by ThousandEyes, would allow customers to have an end-to-end view into the digital delivery of applications and services over the internet.

This combination would also enable customers to pinpoint deficiencies. This would also improve network and application performance across enterprise and cloud networks. “I’m excited to welcome the ThousandEyes team to Cisco,” said Todd Nightingale, senior vice president and general manager, Cisco Enterprise Networking and Cloud.

Cisco has been the worldwide leader in technology powering the internet. The company inspires new possibilities by reimagining your applications, securing your data, transforming your infrastructure, and empowering teams for a global and inclusive future. The acquisition is expected to close before the end of Cisco’s Q1 FY’21. ThousandEyes will join Cisco’s newly-formed Networking Services business unit reportedly.
