India and Germany Likely to Sign Agreement on AI

India and Germany are likely to sign agreements which will include a partnership on the use of artificial intelligence in farming activities during Chancellor Angela Merkel’s three-day visit that kicks off on Thursday. PM Narendra Modi and Merkel will be discussing issues on trade, investment, regional security and climate change.

Innovation and digitalisation

Ambassador Walter J. Lindner said both the countries could sign agree agreements in areas like artificial intelligence and green urban mobility. Merkel, in a visit released by the Indian embassy in Berlin said that the focus of the meet will be on economic and trade relations, innovation and digitalisation, and climate protection and sustainable development. Merkel will be accompanied by many cabinet colleagues and a business delegation.

In Europe, Germany is India’s largest trading partner. There are more than 1,700 German companies are operating in India.
