Volty IoT Plans To Open GPS Devices Facility In Andhra Pradesh

According to a report by Economic times, Hyderabad headquartered GPS trackers and IoT devices manufacturer Volty IoT Solutions has announced setting up a new manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh at Mangalagiri. It will have a capacity to produce 2,000 devices a day and an initial investment of Rs 50 crore.

The report said that the company in a statement added that the manufacturing facility will look after the increasing need for GPS trackers in sand and mineral mining and public transport vehicles in the region.

Fresh orders of around 25,000 GPS devices

Konark Chukkapally, chief executive officer of Volty IoT Solutions told Economic times that the company has already readied 10,000 units of AIS 140 model GPS trackers to be installed in vehicles involved in sand transportation. He added that as the company is an empaneled manufacturer, it is expecting to secure two-thirds of fresh orders of around 25,000 GPS devices to be fixed over the next few weeks.

The company has a target to produce around three crore units a year across the country. It has also entered into arrangements with many GPS tracker suppliers for contract manufacturing of products for them.
