Consumer electronics brand Panasonic India has forayed into the education sector. It has launched two education-based solutions CareerEx and XcelIT. The company claims that the solutions will impact around one lakh students by 2025.
CareerEx has been designed to meet the needs of college and university students to increase their skillset in emerging technologies like data science, cloud computing, machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT). The company said in a statement that the solutions have been designed and developed at Panasonic’s India Innovation Centre (IIC). It aims to reduce the existing skill gap between current education and employment needs for the future.
Available on Android and iOS application stores
XcelIT has been designed for school students primarily living in tier II and III cities. It aims to make them ready for all competitive exams. Both the solutions have been made available on Android and iOS application stores. The company has collaborated with specialised educational partners for the programme. Students will also get a chance to work on Panasonic projects and internships.
Atsushi Motoya, Panasonic India Innovation Centre head said that through the launch of CareerEx and XcelIT, the company hopes to develop another innovative Edu-tech solution. It plans to upskill technology talent pool to address the unemployment rate amongst urban youth. It also wants to cater to the demands of the industry.
