Microsoft Sets Up R&D Centre In Noida

Microsoft has set up a new engineering hub in the National Capital Region. The India Development Centre (IDC) has been set up in Noida and it will be the company’s third centre in the country after Bengaluru and Hyderabad. This centre will house the engineering teams across groups like Microsoft’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Research Group, Cloud and Enterprise Group, and Experience and Devices Group. It will also be the home of Core Services Engineering and Operations.

Strong engineering presence in India

Kurt DelBene, executive vice president, corporate strategy, core services engineering and operations, and the chairman of the IDC Advisory Board, said that the company has built a strong engineering presence in India over the past two decades. Expanding to Noida represents the company’s ability to attract world-class technology talent.

Rajiv Kumar, managing director, Microsoft India research and development said that the launch of the IDC center in NCR is a step towards realizing IDC’s vision to be a world-class development center and source of innovation for the next billion users. It will create opportunities for engineers to do meaningful work that will have an impact globally.
