According to various media reports, the Indraprastha Institute of Education Technology, Delhi (IIIT-D) has signed an MoU with education technology company Extramarks. They will work together to promote and encourage research in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Extramarks with IIIT-D will set up a research laboratory in the computer science department. This lab will work on creating new breakthroughs in the area of ”AI in Education”.
Quality education accessible
The reports said that Professor Ranjan Bose, director of IIIT Delhi said that AI has tremendous potential to reform education delivery. He added that AI can make quality education accessible in the remotest parts of the country and the world.
Ritvik Kulshrestha, CEO, Extramarks Education said that AI is the main tool that will lead to futuristic digital learning solutions. He added that after successfully implementing AI in school and app-based learning content, the company now aims to implement futuristic technology that will cause innovative disruptions in education delivery.
