According to a recent report by IANS, the Bitfury Group is all set to establish a Blockchain research and innovation centre in Hyderabad. The largest blockchain company in the world has reportedly entered into a partnership with Telangana’s Blockchain District also.

Indian School of Business (ISB) will also help the company by offering co-working space, access to investor network, business expertise, and many more benefits.

Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Department, Government of Telangana  told IANS that after several rounds of consultations with industry and academia, the government conceptualized Blockchain District, which aims to be among the world’s top 10 leading Blockchain technology ecosystem by proactively driving key initiatives for developing talent pool, infrastructure, research and innovation and community building.

He further stated that Blockchain District provides a platform which enables the stakeholders to collaborate, co-create and build solutions in blockchain technology, which today is at a nascent stage, but has enormous potential in the coming years.

Blockchain District was founded by the Government of Telangana, the International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIITH), Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, India (C-DAC) and Tech Mahindra.
