AI Startups Raised $18.5 Billion In 2019 In The US: Report

According to a report by Venturebeat, 2019 data from National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) showed that 1,356 AI-related companies in the U.S. raised $18.457 billion. The report also said that this exceeded the data of 1,281 companies that raised $16.8 billion in 2018 as per Q4 2019 PitchBook-NVCA Venture Monitor.

As per the report, NVCA had projected that AI startups were on track to set a record after Q3 funding increased. It reached a high after $4 billion was raised by 267 AI-related startups in the last three months of 2019. But, this was a dip from the $4.4 billion raised in the third quarter of 2019.

$15 millon raised by Evisort

The report said that the recent AI fundraising deals in the fourth quarter of 2019 include $15 millon raised by Evisort to automate contract management, $18 million raised by Huckleberry which uses AI to match small businesses with insurance. It also included $20.6 million raised by Anyscale to simplify writing AI and machine learning applications.
