Optus Enterprise in partnership with Akamai Technologies has launched a new secure access service, the IoTFlex for cellular IoT applications.

IOTFlex includes a list of security features designed to enable enterprise users to manage their Internet of Things (IoT) applications and devices on a self-service platform. This is expected to improve efficiency, reduce time to market and operational costs.

The self-service platform allows IoT application developers to integrate multiple features and deploy a private network rapidly.

“Seamless connectivity is critical for organisations deploying IoT projects, and with the proliferation of IoT and 5G devices now available, security is paramount for enterprises,” said Deon Liebenberg, Optus Enterprise innovation vice president.

To the adding cyber attacks happening day by day, IoTFlex can be of immense help to secure data and reduce the chances of any cyber attack.

“Optus IoTFlex provides enterprises visibility and control when managing their IoT devices, applications and data, and ensures their security on the Optus network by working to eliminate exposure to cyberattacks on the public internet,” said Liebenberg.

IOTFlex has many applications from healthcare devices, banking and finance, connected transport to smart cities and emerging businesses in remote operations technology and smart metering.
