IBM Will Use IOTA Tokens For Task Scheduling System of IoT Devices

As per a report by Fxstreet, IBM has collaborated with IOTA in patent application US20190373051A1. This refers to the “Task Scheduling System for Internet of Things (IoT) Devices” as per the report.

The application has been transferred for final approval already. The report said that according to Google Patents, IBM had initially applied for this in 2018. The report also said that, through this, users of IoT systems will be able to allocate tokens to their devices to set tasks for it. It can also be used to utilise the trading functions of crypto-assets.

Patents by Siemens AG, Blackberry Telecom, and Intel Corporation

The report also said that IOTA tokens are used in many solutions within IoT. IOTA tokens were mentioned in patents by Siemens AG, Blackberry Telecom, and Intel Corporation this year, as per the report. At the moment, about 44 companies have applied for 111 patents as per the report. The reserachers at IOTA ecosystem use a statistics tool to check the progress of IOTA adoption by corporations using their patent applications.
