- Vodafone Idea will offer its huge range of automotive IoT solutions to Kia Motors.

Telecom service provider, Vodafone Idea has entered into a partnership with Kia Motors to support connected car services in India.
Under the agreement, Vodafone Idea will offer its automotive internet of things (IoT) solutions that includes: real-time traffic navigation, voice integrated e-SIMS, 3G/4G data, SMS and secure access point name (APN) service.
The solutions will facilitate Kia to locate its automobiles, enable real-time data exchange and support a wide range of telematics-enabled connected car services for its customers.
Connected cars, a reality
Nick Gliddon, Vodafone Idea Chief Enterprise Business Officer, said, “As industry and consumers adapt to this digital disruption, it allows Vodafone Idea Business Services to introduce end-to-end IoT solutions to our automobile partners. Our global expertise and deep understanding of Indian consumers helped us to work closely with Kia Motors and make connected cars a reality for Kia Motors in India.”

Kia Motors will begin implementing the connected car technology in its Kia Seltos car series. The automobile currently provides features such as AI voice command, auto collision notification, SOS-emergency assistance, remote engine start and stop and car indoor air quality monitor.
