Finnish VPN company Tosibox says that its newly launched TOSIBOX Lock 150 is based on unique technology that simplifies connecting and scaling IoT network infrastructures.

The industrial router with firewall and easy Plug & Go connectivity serves as an endpoint for secure remote connections. IoT devices connected to the Lock can be securely accessed over the Internet and most LAN and WAN networks through an encrypted virtual private network (VPN) connection.

The Lock 150 can be installed in less than five minutes without the need for software installations, network configurations or special IT skills and provides capacity for up to 10 concurrent VPN connections, the company claims.

The router is compatible with all existing TOSIBOX products and includes end-to-end encryption between TOSIBOX devices.

Need for securing complex IoT networks

According to the company, the technology is used in more than 120 countries, helping companies in industrial automation, building automation and the security sector secure their IoT connections and simplify remote maintenance, data collection and network management.

“With cyberattacks on the rise, safe access and management of remote networks is a pressing issue for the automation and manufacturing industries. We’re proud to offer a state-of-the-art solution to help scale, customize and secure complex IoT networks with the Lock 150 and TOSIBOX technology,” said Jarno Limnéll, CEO at Tosibox Oy.

Bill Behn, President of Tosibox Inc, added, “The Lock 150 is the perfect device that solves today’s Industry 4.0 and IoT connectivity needs.”

Following a successful launch in Europe, the TOSIBOX Lock 150 has now been available with CE, FCC and UL certifications specific to the United States and Canada.
