Gurgaon-based IoT company Trak N Tell has introduced a special vehicle security feature on its app for their Intelli7 customers across the country.
The new feature dubbed ‘Weekend Watchman’ can quickly determine any potential case of car theft in real time while the owner is away, the company said.
Trak N Tell’s watchman application launched last year instantly transforms one’s smartphone into an alarm clock so they can be informed about potential threats in real time, and take corrective action during nights. This has been upgraded to the next level, enabling tracking even through the day during weekends.
The company says they will notify its existing customers about this new feature that can be availed at a mere Rs. 10/- per day. To add this new feature, customers just need to upgrade to the latest Android app available on their Google Play Store and leverage the feature.
Thanks to the Weekend Watchman, instead of showing an ‘Ignition On’ alert, the device will automatically convert into an alarm clock urging the user to take corrective action in case of vehicle tampering while the owner is away.
Weekend Watchman to help alleviate vehicular security threats
According to a recent statistics shared by the Delhi Police in July this year, as many as 21,298 cases of motor vehicle thefts were reported till June 30 this year. This included 3,871 cars and 3,237 scooters.
