DataCultr, a startup in Internet of Things (IoT) enablement, launched IoT Edge Gateway platform for connected devices in order to help the enterprises in the implementation of mission-critical and large-scale IoT solutions.

The latest platform by DataCultr is designed to address the concerns of enterprises regarding security, return on investment (RoI) and IT/OT integration. The startup, with this platform, has brought together all the building blocks of IoT at one place, so that enterprises can go to market nearly six times faster.

Speaking about the development, Sujoy Ghosh, CTO and Co-founder, DataCultr, said, “Our IoT platform handles secure communication across connected devices, including data integrity and security, device interoperability, failure-proof connectivity, over the air firmware update, and dynamic visualisations.”

He further said, “We are working with system integrators, telcos as well as multiple smartphone and device manufacturers to launch this platform across multiple use cases for IoT and connected devices.”

Single framework of IoT

With variety of connected devices booming in the market, the need arises for a middle layer that efficiently brings components and things together that are meant for different smart purposes into a single framework of IoT.

With its Edge Gateway platform, the startup allows the secure management, analysis, collection and real-time action on each aspect of communications between the connected devices. With the company’s powerful local abstractions, it is possible to model the data, services and devices on the edge in a uniform method.

The latest platform as a service allows secure two-way communication and management between devices, sensors and the backend infrastructure of enterprise.

The startup keeps an eye on the development in the market while creating a platform in order to include features and tools in its platform that help in keeping its customers ahead of the curve in the field of connected devices.
