The engineering and R&D services team of VVDN and the 5G team at Intel are coming together for defining, prototyping, testing and delivering the 5G IoT Gateway solution
VVDN Technologies, in collaboration with Intel, designed a 5G Internet of Things (IoT) Gateway Solution that is based on Fibocom FG100 module with an Intel® XMM™ 8160 5G chipset. The new gateway can also operate on both sub-6GHz and mmWave spectrum.
Opportunity for OEMs

Faster internet connectivity
The engineering and R&D services team of VVDN and the 5G team at Intel are coming together for defining, prototyping, testing and delivering the new 5G solution. The two companies, as a part of the project, created an LTE Cat 16 IoT Gateway with Fibocom L860 module that is based on Intel XMM 7560 4G chipset. This advanced gateway offers 4G LTE Cat 16 Internet connectivity through an 802.11n/ac dual Wi-Fi network, giving users with Internet access with speeds up to 10 times faster than the present solutions.
The new 5G IoT gateway is likely to be available in 2020.
