TUV Rheinland Opens State-of-the-Art IoT Lab in Bengaluru

The new lab is fully equipped to support testing for a comprehensive range of products including smart meters, IoT gateways, wearables and mobile phones

TUV Rheinland, a global leader in independent inspection services, announced that it has opened a state-of-the-art Wireless/IoT laboratory in the city of Bengaluru, India. The new lab will boost the company’s service offering in the Indian sub-continent’s expanding market.

The new laboratory is spread across in an area of 1,500 square meter and will offer measurement and testing services in compliance with the latest international regulations.

The state-of the-art lab will focus on radio testing, radiated emissions (EMI/EMC) testing and radiated spurious emissions (Wireless/IoT) as well as offering complete Wireless/IoT conformity assessment for a comprehensive range of electrical, commercial, medical and automotive products. In addition, the lab features the first third-party, 3-meter fully anechoic chamber in India.

Unique features

The new lab is fully equipped to support testing for a comprehensive range of products including smart meters, IoT gateways, wearables and mobile phones. The lab covers different types of protocols such as Bluetooth, ZigBee and Wi-Fi, along with 2G, 3G and 4G.

The facility’s unique features include:

  • Omnidirectional Antenna Performance testing for both 2D and 3D pattern measurement
  • Wireless Alliance testing offering for LoRa and Sigfox Alliances
  • Chamber in line with the recommendations of 3GPP, CISPR, ETSI and FCC

Quick and cost-effective
