Inpixon and SAS Partner to Deliver Advanced Analytics for IoT

The collaboration between Inpixon and SAS will enable indoor positioning data to be joined with many additional data sources like a company’s sales history, customer loyalty information, etc.

Inpixon, a leading company providing indoor positioning and data analytics solutions, announced that it has entered into a technology integration agreement with SAS – a leader in advanced analytics software.

As per the agreement, SAS will be able to integrate Inpixon Indoor Positioning Analytics (IPA) and metrics into its analytics and dashboard. In addition, Inpixon will also collaborate with SAS Internet of Things (IoT) Eco-system Program. Both the companies are also planning to collectively undertake promotional and marketing activities.

Commenting on the development, Dan Mitchell, Director, SAS Global Retail & CPG Practice, said, “We’ve always known that our software is only as good as the data that our customers use to fuel analytics. That is why we put a premium on aligning with quality collaborators like Inpixon. We look forward to offering predictive analytics that incorporate indoor positioning data to solve tough, fast-moving business problems.”

Nadir Ali, CEO, Inpixon, said, “IoT devices generate so much data – exabytes a day. At Inpixon, we believe the keys to success are to acquire as many data sources as possible, to fuse those sources, and to apply advanced analytics including AI. When done right, the insights gleaned and the decision-making you can do are game changing. We believe the market’s appetite for this kind of data combination will be insatiable.”

Useful across industries

The collaboration between Inpixon and SAS will enable indoor positioning data to be joined with many additional data sources like a company’s sales history, customer loyalty information, point-of-sale data, as well as external sources including economic and weather data.

After integration, SAS with Inpixon IPA is likely to be able to provide omnichannel analytics in order to help the businesses gain predictive insights regarding customer journey, inventory, staffing and marketing campaign effectiveness. Though the solution is useful across several industries, it is expected to be helpful for retailers, banks, shopping malls, mass transit, airports, schools, hospitals and public buildings such as museums, government, and libraries.
