Aruba’s new 530 and 550 Series access points remove the requirement for IoT gateways and the resulting needs of complicated network management
Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) company, announced the launch of two new solutions – ClearPass Device Insight and Aruba 530 and 550 Series access points, to help the enterprise customers facilitate the adoption of Internet of Things (IoT).
These two solutions collectively allow enterprises to eliminate barriers for IoT security and connectivity, along with reducing the associated operational costs and complexities.
The ClearPass Device Insight provides a single pane of glass for device visibility employing automated device discovery, machine learning (ML)-based fingerprinting and identification.
The new ClearPass Device Insight leverages ML and crowdsourcing for automating the discovery and fingerprinting of all the IoT and connected devices on any Wi-Fi or wired network, irrespective of the vendor. The solution’s cloud delivery platform uses shared community learnings to find newly-launched devices.
Remove IoT gateways need
Aruba 530 and 550 Series access points are an extension to the highly advanced family of Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) IoT-ready access points of the industry.
The new 530 and 550 Series access points remove the requirement for IoT gateways and the resulting needs of complicated network management, thus enabling IT teams to simply connect a varied set of IoT sensors and devices that use different protocols. Supported by Bluetooth 5, Wi-Fi and Zigbee protocols, the new access points enable organisations to connect with 74 per cent of current IoT devices.
Commenting on the development, Kenneth Ma, Director and General Manager, Hong Kong and Macau, for Aruba, said, “Aruba is pleased to introduce these important new products to the APAC market, which I am confident will be quickly and practically embraced by a wide range of regional organisations.”
“IoT technology will bring about huge industry changes in years to come – but only with effective solutions and services can this potential be properly unlocked. Aruba is here to help,” Ma added.
