Array Networks Targets US$9 Million Revenue from Smart Cities by 2019

Array’s smart city solutions are designed keeping in mind the growing importance of utilising data in safe, secure way

Array Networks, Inc, a leading network functions platform company, is targeting US$ 9 million revenue from smart city projects by 2019. The company has generated US$ 5 million revenue till now from Smart Cities Mission, an ambitious initiative of the Government of India.

Array is supporting ‘100 Smart Cities Mission’ and has been engaged in various stages of implementation for multiple cities namely Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Nagpur (Maharashtra) and Davangere (Karnataka), to name a few, the company said in a statement.

In 2018, these projects have contributed 40 per cent to the growth rate of Array. By 2019 end, the company is aiming to be part of 20 more smart cities and targeting to keep the growth momentum.

Shibu Paul, Regional Sales Director – APAC, Array Networks, said, “We are glad to be a part of making ‘Smart Cities’ real. We have been contributing to the initiative since it started back in 2015. Yes, we are making cities smart from the start. The smart cities will be the future enabler in accelerating India’s economic growth and at the same time will improve lifestyle. If we talk about numbers, smart cities have helped us in growing at a rate of 40 per cent in the last two years. It has generated US$ 5 million revenue for us.”

Offering advanced solutions

Smart infrastructure and smart data centers (DCs) are crucial parts of smart cities. Array has supported in developing futuristic data centers for smart cities by coming out with unique concepts like hyperconvergence in networking into the DCs.

The company’s advanced security solutions are designed keeping in mind the network security protocols such as ECC. These help to improve application security and offer complete visibility into several threats and performance inhibitors, thus enabling organisations to make proactive and informed security decisions.

The company’s hyperconverged solution stack include ADC, DDoS, web application firewall, Web vulnerability scanner, SSLi and Array MARS visibility and analytics tool.

In addition, Array provides support to several advisory bodies such as state missions and national security council that are involved in smart city mission. The company also assists in formulating the application and cyber security policies in order to ensure maximum level of cyber security with corrective actions against the unscrupulous access.
