Myriota developer toolkit allows developers to add the lowest cost, most secure and longer battery life IoT connectivity to their products
Myriota, a leading nanosatellite Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity vendor, announced the launch of its developer toolkit that is designed to accelerate the availability of IoT technology to the technology community across the globe. The toolkit also enables the developers to incorporate direct-to-satellite communications technology with the IoT products.
The developer toolkit was widely tested and put on trial over the past six months by the members of Myriota’s early access partner program in Europe and the US, as well as by Australia’s Smartsensor – the first smart waste management platform, the company said in a statement.
Smartsensor is utilising the development toolkit to create a world without waste.
Supports a range of applications
Commenting on the development, Dr David Haley, CTO and Co-founder, Myriota, said that the development toolkits offer a complete and mature platform for speedy creation of satellite IoT solutions, by smaller developers as well as multinational businesses.
“We’re excited to be putting the power of IoT into the hands of those able to apply it most effectively – the developer community,” he said.
“Myriota developer toolkit enables a range of applications and supports the development of innovative IoT solutions for a vast range of industries. The development toolkit allows developers to add the lowest cost, most secure and longer battery life IoT connectivity to their products for truly remote applications,” said Dr Haley.
Currently, the toolkits are available for purchase in Australia, but the company is planning to expand their rollout to other regions also.
