Qlik Acquires CrunchBot to Expand Conversational Analytics Capabilities

CrunchBot is available immediately to the customers through Qlik and will be certified as a value-added solution to Qlik Sense platform

Qlik has acquired CrunchBot – an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered analytics bot that will expand the company’s current augmented intelligence and cognitive capabilities by bringing additional conversational analytics through the Qlik’s platform and open application program interfaces (APIs).

In addition, Qlik has acquired the experienced AI team and solution development professionals of Crunch Data Inc.

With this acquisition, the users will be able to interact with and understand their data leveraging the natural language via Qlik Sense and within key collaboration tools like Skype, Slack, Salesforce Chat and Microsoft Teams.

To expand Qlik’s capabilities

The customers of Qlik already get benefit from the augmented intelligence and natural language search capabilities within Qlik, and CrunchBot extends and expands these capabilities by way of a conversational and natural language interface.

CrunchBot is available immediately to the customers through Qlik and will be certified as a value-added solution to Qlik Sense platform. The new product will be named the Qlik Insight Bot and available alongside the existing Insight Advisor capability of Qlik. This new product will be further combined with Qlik’s cognitive engine to provide more value to its customers.
