The security and microcontroller solutions of Infineon have successfully passed several validations for AWS Greengrass IoT Core and Amazon FreeRTOS
Infineon Technologies AG, a leading semiconductor manufacturing company, announced that it has been named Advanced Technology Partner to the Amazon Web Services (AWS).
With its solutions, the company allows manufacturers of Internet of Things (IoT) device to fully and securely create and integrate their product offerings into the AWS cloud.
The security and microcontroller solutions of Infineon have successfully passed several validations for AWS Greengrass IoT Core and Amazon FreeRTOS. These solutions are available for purchase as IoT developer boards via the AWS Partner device catalog.
The solutions include:
- OPTIGA Trusted Platform Module: For secured zero touch edge device provisioning to the AWS Greengrass IoT SW platform
- XMC4800 Ethercat WIFI connectivity kit: To enable easy and secured use of new generation sensors featuring new AI functionalities provided by AWS through their cloud services
- OPTIGA Trust X: For enhanced security for IoT devices
Enabling clients to easily integrate IoT devices
The company’s microcontrollers, security controllers and sensors allow connected devices to compute, sense and secure data streams for intelligent, efficient aggregation and analysis – be it in the cloud or on premise.
With its hardware components, the company offers an open source software environment for clients to simply develop and integrate their IoT devices with cloud connected services.
It is crucial to protect digital identities for running data-sensitive applications in machine-to-machine (M2M) and cloud communication. A series of trust using hardware-based security anchors help in protecting digital identities and keys from physical and logical attacks. In addition, it helps to securely connect the IoT end nodes such as surveillance cameras or connected production machinery with dedicated on-premises edge platforms and cloud servers.
In order to meet the needs of different industries, Infineon and members of the Infineon Security Partner Network (ISPN) create customised security solutions that are based on chip technology.
