Edimax’s air quality detector is incorporated with EdiGreen Cloud, which provides device tracking and enterprise-grade management system
Edimax, a leading global manufacturer of advanced network communication products, announced the launch of a new smart air quality detector, Edimax Edigreen.
The smart air quality detector comes with the world’s first modular PM2.5 sensor design. It is also equipped with accurate monitoring of PM2.5, humidity and temperature that allows users to know the air their breathe, Edimax said in a statement.
The latest smart product allows to discover quality, by delivering an air quality level history as well as trends. In addition, it helps in analysing the previous readings, observe the present readings and based on analysis, it alerts the user when air quality is at high risk levels.
Key features and functions
Edimax’s air quality detector is incorporated with EdiGreen Cloud, which provides device tracking and enterprise-grade management system for further expansions and Smart City applications.
The users can get real-time air quality data through the Edigreen mobile companion app, which is free to download. In addition, they can get data across different locations in order to understand the trends and identify major spots of air pollution or to observe improvements over a period.
The increasing air pollution is resulting in high levels of PM 2.5 particles in the air, which is one of the major air pollutants continuously monitored by environment authorities all over the world. The PM 2.5 particles are extremely light, small and can stay in the air for a longer period of time as compared to other heavy air particles. As per several studies, PM 2.5 particles have adverse effects on the human health and can cause chronic health issues such as bronchitis, asthma and other respiratory problems.
