Delta Electronics Acquires Amerlux to Enhance its IoT-based Solutions


Amerlux will complement Delta’s overall offerings in and around the building space, with its excellent product portfolio and strong customer relationships

Delta Electronics, Inc., a leading global provider of power and thermal management solutions, announced that it will acquire lighting solutions company Amerlux to enhance its Internet of Things (IoT)-based green solutions for smart buildings and cities.

Delta Electronics (Netherlands) B.V., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Delta signed a definitive agreement to acquire 100 per cent of Amerlux’s interests for US$ 90 million. The transaction is likely to be concluded during the second quarter of this year.

As part of its long-term growth strategy, Delta is focusing on building automation. The proposed deal is likely to benefit the customers with a wider range of Delta’s IoT-enabled smart green solutions for sustainable buildings and smart cities. These solutions include building automation, surveillance, commercial and industrial LED lighting, energy management and indoor environmental quality systems.
