Coca-Cola India Pvt Ltd, Indian arm of Atlanta based The Coca Cola Company, has entered into a partnership with Vodafone Idea Business Services, the enterprise subsidiary of Telecom giants Vodafone Idea and eBest IoT, offering revolutionary I0T and business intelligence solutions, to launch IoT connected coolers across India.
Helps in understanding consumer behaviour
The beverages major will deploy internet of things (IoT)-enabled connected coolers for understanding the behaviour of consumers and use this information in enhancing customers experience. The pilot study has been finished and the connected coolers will be launched in phased manner all over the country, the company said in a press release.
The connected coolers will be driven by Vodafone SuperIoT suite that provides end-to-end solutions with only a single point of contact. By utilising this comprehensive technology solution, the partners of Coca-Cola will be able to manage their inventory, monitor usage pattern, track their sales and locations.
IoT benefits to clients
Commenting on the development, Sanjay Rawal, Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Coca-Cola India and South-West Asia, said that the connected cooler is the next milestone in the company’s journey towards achieving the goal of digitising the marketplace and creating a connected environment with the consumers. The IoT based solution has a sensor that would be incorporated in coolers that helps in detecting humidity, temperature, and closing/opening of door and also helps in maintaining the quality of bottles of Coke delivered to the clients.
