Hero Electronix to Launch Series of AI-powered Connected Devices

Hero Electronix is planning to launch over 10 intelligent products across various segments including automotive, home automation, health and entertainment in the coming five years

Another big tech revolution is emerging as smart devices are flourishing in the market, driven by technology trends such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, ubiquitous connectivity and low-cost sensors.

Taking advantage of these new and emerging technologies, Hero Electronix, a Hero Group Company, is planning to launch over 10 intelligent products across various segments including automotive, home automation, health and entertainment in the coming five years. The company announced that it is entering the consumer technology space with a range of AI-powered, connected devices.

Speaking on the development, Ujjwal Munjal, Founder Director, Hero Electronix, said, “We intend on launching a series of AI-Powered connected products that are designed and built grounds up in India for India and the world. Each of these intelligent consumer devices are unique, innovative and first-of-its-kind in many aspects, best in class even on a global stage.”

Nikhil Rajpal, CEO, Hero Electronix, said, “We believe we have a unique opportunity available to us at this point. There is a major revolution coming where AI-powered connected devices can solve massive real world problems. While we are addressing the home automation space with our first range of products in the near term, we will soon come out with products targeted at the automotive, health and fitness space.”

Partnership with global tech giants

To develop the solutions, Hero Electronix has partnered with global technology players such as Qualcomm and Amazon.

Rajen Vagadia, Vice President and President, Qualcomm India, said, “Devices in the Internet of Things (IoT) world have evolved to become smarter with integration of AI and superior connectivity. This device is powered by the Qualcomm Vision Intelligence 100 Platform designed with powerful image processing and machine learning for smart camera products in the consumer and enterprise IoT spaces.”

The first of the products by Hero Electronix is being shown at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2019 at Las Vegas. The names and models of these devices are not yet revealed by the company. However, it said that it is a breakthrough product that is made in India and designed for security, entertainment and automation purpose. In addition, the product is incorporated with the Qualcomm Vision Intelligence 100 Platform, based on the APQ8053 System-On-Chip (SoC).
